If you are responsible for the whole or part of a business premises, you will most likely need a fire risk assessment as a legal requirement under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Riverside Fire Safety Consultants are committed to offering a service which is second to none. All our clients will be provided with a fast turnaround of the completed report after the inspection has taken place.

Fire Door Assessments
We consider fire doors as a fundamental part of fire safety. They protect life and the integrity of a building. The frequent use of doors means they are a greater risk of damage, compromising the fire protection in your building.
A fire door survey determines the condition and suitability of a fire door, whilst also providing risk ratings based upon the implications of any failures of doors on the general fire safety of a building. Regular Fire Door Assessment surveys and remediation works are vital to ensure your building remains fire compliant.
The surveys we produce detail a photographic list of defects along with a detailed schedule which are easy to read and follow to ensure it is to action.
Our technicians are Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) Accredited.

Health & Safety Assessments
A Health and Safety Assessment identifies any risks or non-compliance with health and safety regulations and details any areas of improvement. A Health and Safety Assessment is an examination of what could harm or injure people and detailing any hazards.
Our reports will list in detail any hazards or risks which have been identified during the inspection. We will prioritise the items as LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH and provide recommendations for corrective action.

We can assist your company in providing clear signs and notices to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. We can supply and install fire safety signage in conjunction with the fire protection services we offer, as well as health and safety signage.

Emergency Lighting
The legal requirement is that non-domestic buildings must be safe at all times, even if mains power failure occurs. Therefore, nearly all such buildings must have emergency lighting fitted. Sudden darkness can pose threats and hazards to occupants of the property, either through physical injury or panic. Emergency lighting can be an effective solution as it is able to operate automatically and provides enough illumination for safe and efficient evacuation. Riverside Fire Safety Consultants can advise you on the extent of protection your business requires from emergency lighting to meet the required standard.

Dry Riser
Legally required for buildings that are more than 18 metres high, dry riser systems are recommended as well in buildings where water pressure is not enough for fire suppression. A dry riser is a system of pipe work and valves that runs up through a building. The system allows fire fighters to easily access water from each individual floor of the building. It consists of a vertical pipe with a water inlet on ground level located on an external wall and outlets known as landing valves, which are usually located in a dry riser cabinet on each floor.

CCTV
CCTV cameras are a staple in crime prevention because they help ward off criminals, monitor building premises, and record valuable footage of events.
Whether you’re looking to reduce theft and loitering in your business, increase security on your premises or provide a safe haven for your residents, we can provide the right system to suit your security needs.

Door Entry Systems
Door entry systems, also known as access control systems, are designed to regulate access to restricted areas within a home or a commercial space. There are various kinds of door entry systems that we can use, ranging from keypad door entry systems to biometric door entry systems. These systems can verify identity and allow authorised personnel access into a given area.
